The University of California, Irvine, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Genetic and Genomic Medicine is seeking to hire a full-time board certified or board-eligible physician to join our clinical and academic faculty. The full-time academic appointment may be at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series, depending on experience.
The Division of Genetic and Genomic Medicine provides outpatient care and inpatient consultation services in cancer, prenatal, pediatric, metabolic, and adult genetics clinics at UCI Health and our affiliated hospitals. Faculty also participate in didactic and clinical training of genetic counseling graduate students, genetics residents, medical students and other trainees, provide community outreach, and are involved in both clinical and basic science research. Administrative responsibilities will include serving on Division, Department, and/or hospital committees.
M.D. or M.D./Ph.D and/or equivalent.
California state medical license or eligibility to become licensed.
ABMGG board-certification or active candidacy in Clinical Genetics and Genomics or another relevant specialty.
Candidate must have demonstrated capabilities for teaching, professional service and/or research suitable for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series.
