Primary Functions: The Genetic Counselor Assistant (GCA) provides support regarding genetic testing services with functions that involve coordination of genetic testing, insurance verification management, and provider and patient interaction. The GCA will be involved in scheduling, coordinating, verifying insurance coverage for patients receiving genetic testing. Responsibilities will include discussing insurance coverage with patients.
