DescriptionUnder general supervision of the Program Director at the UCLA Area Service Center (ASC), California Newborn Screening Program (NBS), coordinates care and follow up for positives and non-positive Newborn Screening referrals including inadequate and incompletes (initial & recall specimens), optional TPN related follow up, optional hemoglobin follow-up, transfusion verification and early collection NBS cases. Interprets State regulations, policies and procedures for perinatal facilities and providers to ensure compliance with the Regulations. Functions as team leader for facility site visits located
