The Greenwood Genetic Center Cytogenetics Laboratory is seeking applications for an Assistant Director of the Cytogenetics Laboratory position to join our full-service laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the current Directors in providing technical oversight of various laboratory functions including report writing, test/procedure validations, overseeing compliance with external regulatory requirements, and external and internal proficiency testing.  Responsibilities may also include training and competency assessment, continuing education, technical staff guidance and consultation, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures/policies, and assisting in troubleshooting technical issues as necessary.
