The Greenwood Diagnostic Laboratory has an opening for a Director level position in our Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory. The successful candidate will join an established and growing division and will be fully involved in the clinical responsibilities of the Molecular Laboratory, including interpretation and reporting of molecular testing results, test development and assay improvement, and providing clinical and technical support. In addition, involvement in the ABMGG training program as well as the quality management program of the laboratory will be expected. Knowledge of CLIA and CAP regulations, ACMG practice guidelines, and online genetic tools is desired. Significant experience with Whole Exome Sequencing and/or Whole Genome Sequencing is preferred; experience with long-read sequencing, optical genome mapping, and/or RNA-seq is desired but not required. Future opportunities exist for involvement in quality research efforts and other educational activities.
Candidates should have an MD, MD/PhD, or PhD and must be ABMGG board-certified in Clinical Molecular Genetics or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics; however, those who are board-eligible will be considered.
