Cancer Genetic Counselor - Center for Medical Genomics
PRIMARY FUNCTION: To provide genetic counseling to persons or families with a history of certain cancers or known cancer risk factors, to develop a Familial Cancer Risk Assessment Program, to develop and coordinate a Genetic Risk Assessment Center, and to represent Christiana Care Health System in State and regional activities of importance to cancer genetic services. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works with the appropriate physician in supporting consultation requests from persons or families with a history of certain cancers or known cancer risk factors or from other cancer health care professionals.
