The Division of Genomic Medicine provides comprehensive genetic services across a wide age spectrum, from newborns to adults, and includes services related to both general genetics and metabolic disorders. All physicians have special interests and run specialty clinics including precision genomics, RASopathies, neurodevelopmental and autism genomics, biochemical genetics, lysosomal storage disorders, cardiovascular genomics, craniofacial genetics, connective tissue disorders, skeletal dysplasias, ocular genomics and Tele Genomics. The division is active in clinical translational research with options for clinical whole genome sequencing and functional studies. We have active biochemical and enzyme replacement therapies ongoing. This position is open to Associate/Full Professor level candidates, commensurate with The ideal candidate will have research, leadership, and administrative experience. Candidates will be expected to participate in clinical care, teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, scholarly and/or research activities in the Department of Pediatrics, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, and serve on hospital, departmental, and School of Medicine committees. Genomic Medicine is housed at the MIND Institute at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. The MIND Institute was founded in 1998 as a unique interdisciplinary research center where parents, community leaders, researchers, clinicians and volunteers collaborate to study and treat autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. The institute has major research efforts in autism, Tourette Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome, Chromosome 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), RASopathies and whole genome sequencing. The UC Davis Children’s Hospital is located on the UC Davis Health campus in Sacramento, California and serves a population of over 1 million children in the Northern California, Central Valley, and Western Nevada regions.
