We’re seeking a Board Certified Clinical Geneticist and Pediatrician to lead the Genetics team as Medical Director at Valley Children's Healthcare, one of the largest pediatric healthcare networks in the country, located in Madera, California.

This is a growing clinical practice that provides exposure to a large and vast array of common as well as unique, diverse and complex metabolic and genetic disorders, and an exceptional team of specialists and staff. The Medical Genetics/Metabolism department is the only metabolic center between San Francisco and Los Angeles and offers comprehensive services to children with birth defects including diagnosis, genetic testing, genetic counseling regarding etiology, recurrence risks and prognosis and treatment. The team includes six Geneticists, four Genetic Counselors, a Metabolic Dietician and a Social Worker. The center is certified as a CCS Metabolic Treatment Center for the CA Newborn Screening Program and directs the Prenatal Diagnostic Center. Genetic Medicine and Metabolism is also an important part of the Children's Prenatal Diagnostic Center.  

Responsibilities include clinical practice and active participation in the Stanford-affiliated pediatric resident training program with opportunities available to be involved in clinical research. Academic appointment will be recommended based on training and experience.
