Performs a variety of imaging procedures, including CT procedures, and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in PI activities.
ï¿½Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology required.
ï¿½Bachelor of Science degree is preferred.
ï¿½One year of radiologic/imaging experience.
ï¿½ CT Experience in Acute Care preferred.
ï¿½Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
ï¿½Possesses a high level of knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
ï¿½Proficiency with most major MRI/CT equipment manufacturer's hardware and software (GE, Siemens, Picker).
ï¿½Basic computer knowledge.
ï¿½State of Florida General Radiographer license required.
ï¿½Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
ï¿½Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with registration category (CT).
