Responsible for performing neurodiagnosis testing and procedures on patients of various ages and medical conditions, in accordance with standards of practice as defined by the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society and the Association of Sleep Disorder centers. The EEG Technician will perform non-invasive neurodiagnostic (EEG) testing of inpatients, outpatient and intraoperative monitoring. Receives and processes incoming requests for services. Demonstrates good public relations skills in dealing with physicians, patients, visitors, and staff.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.
High School Diploma required
College or vocational training preferred, but not required
Registered EEG Technician, R.EEG.T preferred
Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR for Healthcare Provider required
Strong proficiency in computer based programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Demonstrated working knowledge of EEG, evoked potentials video monitoring units and any other ancillary equipment utilized within the department.
Knowledge of guidelines and standards of practice for neurodiagnostics and sleep disorders procedures as recommended by the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society and the Association of Sleep Disorder centers.
Ability to speak, read, and write in the English language.
Ability to work well with other team members and consultants in remote offices as well as independently.
Willingness to be flexible and adaptable in a complex, matrix environment
