Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Carpenter A.
Installs and repairs doors/ bucks, ceilings and floor tiles. Erects various types of partitions. Constructs formica shelves and cabinets.
Construct cabinets and furniture using different materials
Read drawing and prints and be able to fabricate items from them
Proper usage of hand and power tools in a safety manner
Erect various types of wood metal and sheetrock partition and walls
Install and repair floor and wall ceramic or composite tiles
Capable to install various types of hardware (lock, door closers etc.)
Good knowledge of different types of wood and construction materials
Perform miscellaneous jobs as required (clean ups, moving equipment etc.)
Perform other related duties as requested in a clean and safe manner
Handles all facets of plant and building maintenance including the storage of hazardous materials and chemicals that the department utilizes.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a High School Diploma Or Equivalent. Trade School Graduate preferred. 5+ years. Must have strong carpentry background and experience with power tools.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
