Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield Massachusetts is seeking a BE/BC Neonatologist to serve as Medical Director of our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Springfield Massachusetts.
Key components of the position:
We seek a neonatologist with 4+ years of experience to oversee the daily clinical operations of our 58 bed level III NICU as Medical Director.
Lead our team of 7 neonatologists, 10 neonatal APPs, newborn hospitalist, nurse managers and support team in optimization of patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Enjoy a combination of clinical care and resident and medical student teaching with faculty appointment to the University of Massachusetts Medical School-Baystate.
The division has access to pediatric subspecialties, pediatric surgery support, total body hypothermia, high-frequency ventilation (HFOV and Jet), iNO, PDA Ligation, and an in-house regional transport service.
Participate in innovative clinical and QI research. NeoQIC, a Massachusetts statewide neonatal quality improvement collaborative, provides regional support for clinical improvement and multi-center initiatives. Active areas of research: nutrition, neonatal abstinence, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, clinical trials, and quality improvement.
