Description Clinical Research Navigator II: Education & Support : VICTR Requisition # 1912523 Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) and 6 years relevant experience Your Role Seeking an enthusiastic, intellectually curious self-starter with clinical research knowledge and experience to join our support services team. The team and its responsibilities expanded in response to eStar research requirements and centralized support initiatives to meet the needs of the Vanderbilt research community. The team provides support services related to eSMART, eStar, clinical trial budgeting, billing, reconciliation, VHC-monitor access, and eStar research security, to researchers and their teams. The team assists with billing plan and budget development and negotiation and is involved in contributing to content, processes and testing of researcher-oriented software improvements (eSmart); manages just-in-time reminders aimed at improving compliance with eStar billing and research documentation requirements; contributes content for and participates in informational, educational and training sessions and provides other related services. Team members collaborate with the Department of Finance Clinical Trials Billing Compliance, eStar Training, the Vanderbilt Coordinating Center, VICTR Research Support Services and other research departments, to assist research staff in understanding and applying financial and billing best practices and on optimization efforts. In collaboration with the VU Human Research Protections Program, the Clinical Research Navigator assists with the optimal application of the Federal, State, and local laws, guidance documents, VU Institutional policies, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) policies and procedures while meeting the objectives of the VU research community. Consults on complex research and regulatory issues in conjunction with the team(s) to identify solutions and develop improvement processes.
