Performs clerical, communication and computer duties.Obtains through proper phlebotomy technique assesses, processes, and distributes specimens from inpatients, outpatients and reference laboratory patients Assesses, and interprets data about patient's status in order to identify each patient'sage-specific needs and provides the appropriate care.Performs client and vendor billing duties.Works independently.Performs all levels of laboratory testing and QC and QI.Assists in compliance issues and trains new Associates.Researches, writes and / or validates SOP's.Maintains all laboratory records.

Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist (ASCP,AMT,NCA) registered, equivalent or eligible.
Six months laboratory experience is required unless approved by laboratory director.
Associates degree (MLT) or Bachelor Degree (MT) in medical technology from an accredited college/university and completion of a medical technology internship.
Works in a clean, well-lighted, heated and ventilated hospital complex.
