Position Summary: Assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of the Registered Nurse\Licensed Practical Nurse.
Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities) ï¿½ High School graduate or equivalent ï¿½ Current EMT/Paremedic, Medical Assistant Certification /Foreign Medical Graduate Degree or a minimum of two years experience as an Emergency Department Technician. ï¿½ Enrolled in accredited Nursing School-must be within one year of graduation ï¿½ Basic arrhythmia course preferred. ï¿½ Medical terminology. Required Licenses/Certifications: ï¿½ Current BLS Certification at time of hire. ï¿½ Current CPI Certification required within 30 days of hire ï¿½ Current ACLS & PALS Certification preferred. ï¿½ Current EMT/Paremedic, Medical Assistant Certification /Foreign Medical Graduate Degree or a minimum of two years experience as an Emergency Department Technician. Language Skills: ï¿½ Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) in English. ï¿½ Ability to write legibly (Clinical Areas).
