Position Summary: Demonstrates expertise and knowledge in robotic cases. Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and patient for each procedure. Demonstrates knowledge, etiology, and description of detailed procedures and correlating instrumentation involved with robotic procedures. Stays current with new techniques and mentors he staff. Circulates in cases to assist the surgeon and to mentor new staff to these procedures. Assures that all equipment is available and in working order. Manages the equipment and inventory and is responsible for organizing the cases on a daily basis. Orders supplies as needed to maintain the necessary inventory for each case. Works with management to coordinate cases and staff.
Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities)
Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) Five to ten years of OR experience with general and robotic surgery preferred.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Current Florida RN License Holds current BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association AORN Certification preferred Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization
