Upon supervision, to microscopically evaluate all types of specimens submitted, recognize abnormalities identified and render and informs diagnosis to the Cytopathologist for consideration; to prepare cytologic specimens for evaluation using established procedures, to perform appropriate record keeping procedures and to fulfill the duties of the cytopathology supervisor during that supervisor's absence.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Must have completed Cytotechnology training in a CAHEA approved program and/or qualify as outlined in Rules of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation as required for licensure.
One year laboratory experience as a Cytotechnologist is desirable.
