Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Department of Pediatrics, is recruiting a Chief for the Division of Pediatric Medical Genetics. The Chief of the Division of Pediatrics Medical Genetics provides leadership and has overall responsibility for pediatric medical genetic services at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, RWJ Rutgers Health and the Bristol Myers Squibb Hospital. The Chief works closely with the leadership of the Department of Pediatrics and is expected to have a track record of clinical excellence in the field of pediatric genetics and genomics.
The Division of Pediatric Medical genetics cares for children with a wide range of genetic and metabolic disorders and is a designated state follow-up center for newborn screening. Outstanding clinical and research facilities are available.
Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Child Health Institute of New Jersey and RWJ/Barnabas Bristol Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital, located on a contiguous pediatric academic health campus in downtown New Brunswick, NJ, serve a large, multi-cultural population in central New Jersey. New Brunswick is home to the largest campus of Rutgers University extending outstanding research facilities and opportunities for collaboration. Appointment and compensation will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the applicant.

The applicant must hold a MD/DO degree and be ABMGG certified or eligible in clinical genetics. Board-certification in Biochemical Genetics is beneficial but not required. Applicants must be qualified for a medical license in the State of New Jersey.
