The department of pediatrics of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP) and OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois (CHOI) seek clinical geneticist candidates who are board-certified in pediatrics and qualify for certification or are certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics.
The primary clinical responsibilities include provision of outpatient dysmorphology/clinical genetic evaluations, and inpatient genetic consultations. The program currently consists of a clinical biochemical geneticist who provides monthly clinics and two genetic counselors.

A new, eight story, 440,000 square foot Children’s Hospital integrating all pediatric services within one building including level III neonatal intensive care unit.

UICOMP supports a thriving education program with approximately 22 pediatric residents and 32 medicine-pediatrics residents. UICOMP has 72 faculty members covering most pediatric sub-specialties and primary care.
CHOI is the primary pediatric teaching facility for UICOMP and is a 132-bed facility that offers over 100 pediatric programs and services. CHOI is the only full service tertiary hospital for children in central Illinois with designated Level I Trauma Center, a Regional Perinatal Center, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit.
