Children’s National Hospital, located in Washington, DC, is searching for a full-time doctoral level faculty member with board certification in pathology residency and molecular pathology fellowship, or the Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (LGG) Fellowship with board certification or eligibility with the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics. The faculty member will work as part of a collaborative team of pathologists and clinical laboratory directors that interpret, develop, and validate germ line and somatic genetic tests for patient care in the Molecular Diagnostics laboratory section.
The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude. Prior experience in the field, as well as academic publications and collaborative research is desired. The successful applicant will be recommended for appointment as an Instructor, Assistant, Associate or full Professor at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position is on person / on site with ad hoc remote work.

MD or DO or PhD, board certified or eligible for board certification in primary and specialty practice (pathology, pediatric molecular pathology) by American Board of Pathology (ABPath) or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (LGG) Fellowship with board certification or eligibility with the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics. Capable of obtaining a District of Columbia medical license if applicable (physicians only).
