The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting a full-time medical geneticist to join its growing program in the CHS or Tenure track at the rank of assistant, associate or full professor.
The 87-bed American Family Children’s Hospital is the only facility in Madison exclusively devoted to the care and treatment of children, and receives tertiary referrals from throughout the state. Genetics clinics are operated through a partnership between AFCH and the Waisman Center’s University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. The Division of Genetics and Metabolism has a current complement of 9 faculty (including 4 MDs with clinical activity) and a multidisciplinary clinical team of 10 genetic counselors, 1 RN and 4 metabolic dieticians. Members of the division direct accredited training programs in genetic counseling, medical genetics, clinical biochemical genetics, and Laboratory Genetics and Genomics. The Department of Pediatrics has 165 faculty and offers a full range of pediatrics subspecialty care. The University is known for its beautiful lakeside setting, and excellence in teaching both at the undergraduate level and in the Medical School.
