Dayton Children’s is a 155 bed referral center, drawing patients from a 20-county area in Southwestern Ohio and Eastern Indiana. The Wright State University Department of Pediatrics and its residency program is based at Dayton Children’s. There are residents in pediatrics, medicine/pediatrics, general surgery, orthopedics and others in training at Dayton Children’s Within this academic setting, and all medical specialties are represented.

Children’s Mercy Hospitals & Clinics is a free-standing, independent pediatric clinical, academic and research medical center with two hospitals which are located in Kansas City, MO, and Overland Park, KS. Clinical services include more than 40 pediatric subspecialties. Our patient population draws from 150 counties in Missouri and Kansas, and from adjoining states. A new patient tower will increase our capacity to nearly 400 licensed beds. We continue to expand our institutional research capacity and capabilities through our work with colleagues at UMKC, University of Kansas and the Stower’s Institute.
